Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary AwardA proud day for Ferndale SchoolGOLD Presentation CeremonyOn the 2nd November 2009 we were able to witness our first 5 gold Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Award graduates get presented with their certificates by HRH Prince Edward.![]() Our 5 boys looked pretty swish in their shirts and ties which were prepared especially for this event. All of the lads managed to independently go up on stage and receive their certificate. Afterwards the Prince came and had a chat with students, teachers and parents alike to round up a very special evening.
