Public support arising out of the earthquake and burglaryFerndale School would like to thank all of the schools and organisations who have sent in donations since the earthquake and burglary of the school in September. We have been overwhelmed with the support and feel very humbled that so many of you have taken the time to write to us and hold fundraising ventures!The children who have written must be commended on their presentation and effort. The letters, cards, posters and art are amazing and are now displayed in our foyer. The children of Ferndale and the staff have taken a lot of pleasure in reading the letters you have all sent. We recently held the Ferndale Festival to celebrate how special we think Ferndale is and thank local community for all of its support. It was a great couple of days despite a bit of rain. So thanks from all of the staff and children of Ferndale School. Help from around the country... We would like to express our huge thanks to the Sri Lankan Dance Academy in Wellington for organising a food fair to raise money for the play area in our school. The amazing generosity of spirit from around the country continues to surprise and humble us. Thank you!
